Description :

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Java Developer will be be providing software design and development services in an iterative/agile software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities include using MVC frameworks like Struts 1,2 to code the application presentation tier and using object relational technologies in conjunction with design patterns such as DAO and Dependency Injection to code the middle and back-end tiers.
Developer will author or re-engineer as necessary database queries.
Developer will be an expert in the use of Rapid Application Developer or Eclipse integrated development environment on Windows, Linux or Solaris platform.
Developer will perform source code configuration management and assist in build automation using the latest industry tools such as BuildForge.
Additional responsibilities include documenting code, updating UML and database design models, resolving defects, participating in code reviews and providing level of effort estimates.

EDUCATION:

Bachelors Degree and 3 years of experience or 7 years experience in lieu of degree.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Software development process experience in one or more of the following: RUP, Agile, Scrum. Hands on experience in Servlets, JSP, EJB/JPA and one or more frameworks like Struts, JSF or Spring.
- Experience in one of the following ORM tools Hibernate, iBatis.
- Experience in at least one of the following configuration management tools: Clearcase, PVCS, Subversion and build automation tools such as Ant, Maven, BuildForge or similar.
- Experience in at least one of the following integrated development environments: IBM RAD, Eclipse or JDeveloper.
- Prior J2EE application development experience on IBM Websphere or other similar J2EE application server.
- Experience authoring and performance engineering SQL queries and stored procedures on Oracle is desired.
- Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture and WS* standards in addition to hands on experience coding XML Web Services using JAX* API and tools like Axis are strongly desired.

Must be able to hold a Public Trust Clearance - Green card or US Citizen
