PROJECT: Internet Explorer 11 Upgrade Project - The purpose of this project is to upgrade existing applications to render and function in IE11. ROLE: - Includes both application testing and remediation, where applicable. - These roles will work with tiger team members and application subject matter experts (SME) to analyze changes needed for IE11 compatibility. - Will evaluate work needed to not only get the application to work with IE11, but also to move the application toward standards adherence. - Will be required to evaluate the application code against standard user interface (UI) best practices and alert the applications SME, technical lead, and/or the projects technical solutions owner (TSO) to variances. REQUIRED SKILLS: - MUST have excellent communication skills - C#/.NET - HTML, HTML5 (Edge mode) - CSS/CSS3 - JavaScript, JQuery, JQuery UI - Must be able to evaluate the IE11 scan-tool results to assist in finding breaking changes, code and apply fixes for breaking changes, and perform unit tests. - Must be able to prepare for and participate in code reviews as well as participate in application remediation deep dives and other sessions (e.g. planning, go-live events, etc.). PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: - Experience with SVG and WebGL standards. - Experience with feature detection coded Example: if(addEventListener). - Experience with changes needed to migrate from IE9 to IE11 a plus. - Experience using Fiddler.
