Job Description: Lead React Developer

Contract through August 2021

Remote

Team Overview:

· Good base started on where to go with the app

· Current guy is awesome – a lead who can direct the team, understand best practices and has a full knowledge of React

Overview/Day to Day:

· This role is basically 100% React, some Javascript and SQL on the team, but this is full React

· 20% analysis/design/architecture

· 60% heads down development

· 20% mentoring others – 2 other developers that are React focused; 1 other thats learning React (8 total developers)

· AWS – migrating in March; 2 main React apps are in AWS



Top Requirements:

· React – 3 years ideally

· AWS

· Leadership; ability to mentor others



Remote Setup?

· 100% Remote is ok

· 6 month contract; likely extend, but remote might still be ok



OLD NOTES



· Team is largely Front end/Java w/Rest--typically hires full stack with heavier front end

· Moving into React JS – want 2 strong React JS Developers (this is the 2nd opening!)

· JSF and Prime faces from UI platform standpoint too (can teach this if needed)

· Need SOME front end awareness (HTML/CSS)





Work being done:

· Focus & accelerate in the retail market space that both Eric and Chandra (managers) are a part of

· Enhancing digital platforms

· New transformational efforts

· Utilize a UX team to help make the improvements

· Splitting team in half – PO, Scrum Master, QA; will put 2 developers with 2 new contractors, similar setup on the 2nd team

· Some Security work on Erics team – a little flair there.

· AWS – going to Cloud eventually, but dont need to be certified, but knowledge is helpful – others will be doing that. Just deploying within AWS, most configuration will already be done.



Remote?

· Currently 6 month engagement; fully remote

Position Summary:

The Channel Partner site plays a significant role in delivering the digital channel partner experience - its the place we digitally interact with channel partners to help them run their business in sales and service to their customers. Empowering financial professionals through digital solutions to meet the life, annuity, retirement plan and investment needs of their customers? This role is for you.

As an experienced UI Developer, you will work in a collaborative agile environment on a variety of systems supporting our external digital web experience. Your focus will be on designing, developing, and implementing systems associated with the user experience. Development efforts will include transforming the UI with ReactJS and PrimeFaces/JSF frameworks, moving to cloud-based solutions with AWS, and integrating with Adobes AEM platform and multiple internal and external solutions.



Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Lead the architecture and design of our teams ReactJS framework. Set the direction, collaborate with architects across the enterprise, develop in ReactJS, and mentor associates on the platform.

• Develop and support business critical solutions for the Channel Partner platform and Retail Market Technology.

• Incorporate the customers voice and data analytics in research, design and development decisions.
