Work with design team to quickly create a mockup from wireframes. Write code to implement visual elements into various web applications; and build reusable code and libraries for future use. Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs suggested by the business analysts to make sure the designs will fit into, and effectively enhance, the current infrastructure. Collaborate with team members and stakeholders from across the institution to develop smooth, aesthetically pleasing, and user-friendly front-end experiences for internal and external program and site users. Collaborate with members of the website team (including back-end developers) to consistently improve functionality and user-friendliness of the web applications. Improve websites to ensure fast loading speeds through optimizing JavaScript and CSS and deciding when to load assets. Identify and troubleshoot various website issues and coding problems. Maintain updated knowledge of the development industry, modern browser technology, and any other relevant advancements in technology. Assume additional responsibilities as needed Position Knowledge/Skills & Abilities Requirements: 6+ years of experience developing front end websites using CSS3, HTML5, and JavaScript tools. Strong development experience with ReactJS and AngularJS Completed code through production with React and Angular Strong TDD (test driven development) using Jasmine, Karma, or Selenium Expertise in building complex layouts following the front-end software development lifecycle: wire framing, UI/UX design, front-end coding, cross-browser testing, and deployment. React Native (for mobile) Familiarity with the Flux Design Pattern or one of the libraries it inspired (i.e. Redux, Fluxxor, etc.) Core web fundamentals: HTML, JavaScript, and CSS CSS preprocessors like Sass or LESS JS-based build tools like Grunt, Gulp, and Bower Unit Testing with Karma or Jest JavaScript Libraries like jQuery or Backbone.js Front-end (CSS) frameworks like Foundation or Bootstrap AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) Familiarity with API Creation and RESTful services MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js) Stack React Native, Geolocation, Geocaching   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
