The role would be accountable for ensuing work related to decoupling and modernization is foundationally correct as well as build POCs and foundational components in addition to code reviews and tooling. The role is designed to enable engineering teams as software and skillsets are transformed in parallel. TOP REQUIREMENTS: Micorservices, REST, decoupled architecture. Responsibilities: • Provide technical architecture and design to development teams delivering RESTful APIs, microservices, and UIs built with Angular • Define creative and innovative decoupled technical architecture solutions • Create quick working proof of concepts to validate and formalize solutions and design • Enable teams to be successful in modern designs and patterns by providing guidance, reviews, and foundational components • Own the overall technical design and direction of the developed product • Bring innovative ideas to help continuously improve the M&R portfolio including the design, build, deploy, test and runtime within cloud ecosystems • Participate in debugging and performance tuning in a high performance cloud platform • A great attitude and the passion and persistence to solve complex problems Requirements: • 5+ years of experience building and shipping production web enabled software in a scaled distributed environment • Expertise with RESTful Web Services • Expertise implementing microservices • Knowledge of a variety of modern programming languages (Java, JavaScript, Node) • Expertise with Spring framework / Spring boot • Expertise in Java (preferably java 8+) o Or experience with Python/NodeJs/C/C++ should be acceptable • Knowledge of a variety of modern open-source technologies (Angular, Hibernate), • Knowledge of a variety of modern database technologies (Oracle/mySQL/Postgres) • Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Deployment Strategies • Excellence in technical communication with peers and non-technical colleagues. • Expertise in container virtualization utilizing Docker and CICD using Jenkins • Expertise in public cloud architecture and platform solutions • Ability to lead and develop people Preferred skills: • Experience decomposing monolithic applications • Distributed system architecture • Unit and Integration testing experience   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
