The details are below: Role: Data Modeler The Data Modeler role will be responsible for transforming project data requirements into project data models: Primary Duties Excellent analytical and strong communication skills are required Responsible for the logical & physical design and implementation of databases and data systems May be involved in resolving complex data related issues Support development activities across development teams; Participate collaboratively with project team members Develop entity and attribute descriptions/definitions for models and ensure that conflicts in descriptions/definitions are resolved. Assist DBAs in converting logical models to physical models. Participate in monitoring the quality of data within the middleware ecosystem and assist in resolving any discovered data integrity issues. Design data models, database structures and that align with data management principles. Review database architectures and designs to ensure compliance with corporate objectives for data integrity and quality, performance, management, scalability, etc. Define/maintain documentation standards and implement within the team development process Define/maintain the data management strategy to be used across data domains i.e. policies and best practices Maintain business definitions and data descriptions in the metadata repository. Must have personal organization skills, problem solving and decision making skills Evaluate and design logical and physical databases; use modeling techniques to analyze and specify data usage within specific areas; define logical views and physical data structures. Adheres to company documented development standards and best practices Experience with Oracle 11g RAC with high availability systems Experience with SAP Sybase PowerDesigner is a prerequisite Experience creating data dictionaries and working with Application developers to articulate the data functional areas.
