Primary objective is to supplement the APO support staff during US business hours. Will have a face to our internal IT customers, prioritizing and resolving issues entered within our Global Resolution System (GRS). This position will be responsible for the successful development and support of SAP Plan/Source/Make/Deliver/Finance Team functionality (APO / R/3) within Medtronic?s Supply Chain organization. Accountable for all project life cycle phases, with emphasis on translating user requirements into SAP functional specifications for any associated development, reporting, data conversion, integration, enhancements and planning process design needs. Position will provide detailed functional knowledge of APO Planning and SAP R/3 throughout the development process as well as maintain insight to current industry best practices and how they can be applied at Medtronic. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (Job duties and functions) Support SAP system users by addressing Production Support service requests (SR) and issues negatively impacting system availability in a timely manner. These service requests could be related to APO or R/3 functionality. ?Ensure consistent, robust, reliable, and highly available systems and processes through process development, documentation, training, periodic testing, and verification/validation. ?Demonstrate ability to regularly communicate complex technical issues, solutions and designs to a wide variety of audiences ranging from Project Management, Developers and End Level Users. ?Potentially lead multiple project team members throughout the system development life cycle, including project definition, requirements gathering, design, development, test, release and delivery for SAP implementations/upgrades. ?Implement defined business requirements for the SAP Supply Chain system to support business processes for all SAP administration tasks. These tasks could be related to production and/or implementation sites and could be associated with APO and / or R/3. ?Perform unit, system, and integration testing for application upgrades, development, patches, and enhancements. ?Document system administration and configuration changes as well as standard operating procedures and work instructions. ?Manage issues associated with project interdependence, resource allocation and management, financial issues and change management across the program portfolio. ?Create project plans including timelines and milestones and track progress; inspire teamwork and responsibility across project teams; hold teams accountable to schedules, budgets, and scope. ?Understand Medtronic business concepts, practices, and procedures. ?Establish appropriate relationships at all levels within the organization to influence and execute strategy/operations. ?Observe and evaluate industry trends and benchmarks operations against industry standards.
