Job Description : POSITION PURPOSE: Provide technical leadership for SAP ABAP Projects in various technology areas. The Developer will be responsible for providing expert coding, testing, implementation, advice, and support of custom software applications of the most critical and complex nature. This may include expert problem resolution, systems integration, and basic architectural guidance. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Develop new ABAP software modules in an iterative way that will collectively form a larger application * Modify existing SAP software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance * Performs complex ABAP programming, testing, and debugging functions related to the implementation of SAP modules. * Estimate work to be done as part of an overall agile process * Coordinate application implementation and test functionality to ensure specifications are met * Provides technical guidance to the applications engineers and other SAP developers, as well as interface with the project managers, business analysts and customer groups * Works with customer department and internal IT to establish goals, processes and technology initiatives. * Coordinates with architecture teams future technology strategies * Develops and maintains good working relationships with management and developers in various areas of IT * Prepares activity and progress reports regarding the activities of the applications systems and programming sections * Provide technical direction on the creation of detailed program design specifications for high complexity user interfaces, application enhancements, new functionality, and backend processes in collaboration with customers, Business System Analysts, and other project team members. * Oversees large/complex projects in regards to technical designs, code reviews, development and deployment * Work with Business System Analysts, Project Managers, Architects, or management to recommend process or system enhancements. * Adheres to SOX compliance * Creates documentation and flow charts of developed applications * 24x7 on-call support of various applications and interfaces. QUALIFICATIONS: * B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required. * 5+ years experience with SAP ABAP programming * 4+ years of experience with SAP Programing tools (BAPI, BADI, RFC, IDOCS, SMARTFORMS, WebDyno, ALE, SAP Scripts, ) * Familiarity with SAP PI, OSS notes, and Solution manager preferred. * Experience with Unified Process (UP) or agile software development methodologies. * Experience with and is willing to initiate sharing knowledge with others * Ability to quickly learn and practically apply new concepts or principles which can be confirmed by experience. * Experience supporting a production application. * Ability to work effectively as part of a team. * Good communication and presentation skills are essential for this position. * Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
