Masters degree preferred. * 7+ years of progressive SAP system administration experience with Oracle database, including extensive knowledge of monitoring, troubleshooting and performance tuning * 5+ years implementation and/or support experience in Four of the following: ECC, BI, SCM/Live Cache, , SRM, MDM, PI, GRC & EP, including at least one full project life cycle implementation experience in a productive SAP system * 1+ years experience in Solution Manager Administration * SAP Netweaver Administration Certification required * Previous experience providing functional and technical support to relevant systems * Expertise and experience in providing technical leadership for large projects or initiatives * One or more years of experience on Oracle Database and Unix or Linux * Experience in Unicode conversion and/or OS/DB migration preferred * Overall travel will be limited, however, some travel may be required based on project assignments * Rotational on-call responsibilities are required Preferred: * Demonstrated cross-platform knowledge and skills * Knowledge of ASAP methodology in implementation, upgrade and operational support * Extensive knowledge of reporting, analysis, monitoring and troubleshooting tools * Expert knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies * Expert knowledge in the development of testing strategies and overseeing test execution * Database knowledge with ERP systems (Oracle) * Knowledge of networking, distributed computing concepts, server storage systems, business continuity concepts, load balancer (preferably Big Five) and relational database structure * Knowledge of SAP and database disaster recovery * Strong customer focus with an understanding of customer business processes and needs * Strong ability to effectively communicate in technical and non-technical terms, at all levels, both within and outside the organization * Ability to work both independently and in conjunction with clients, management, peers, and project resources * Ability to influence others and move towards a common vision or goal * Ability to coach and mentor others on the team * Ability to shape and execute strategy across the organization with a focus on quality with urgency * Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities * Ability to multi-task and off hours work * Holistic and proactive approach towards change, process improvement, and execution of job responsibilities * Proven ability to takes ownership for self-development * General Sarbanes-Oxley awareness; understanding that SOX has impact on the position and department functions Overview of Role: 1.Provide operational support: a.Support the SAP Landscape infrastructure including but not limited to; Batch, Spool, ALE, IDOC, work items, enqueue, interfaces, archiving etc. b.Analyze SAP Early Watch Reports and implement/recommend changes c.Provide SAP client management (including client security and transports) d.Assist Operations team in providing UNIX server monitoring; storage backup and management; Kernel upgrades, and patch management; e.Provide file system management; f.Provide Database support using Sqlplus or brtools; g. Support SAP Solution Manager – Centralized monitoring; h.Use SAP OSS/SCN for research and support Provide performance tuning and analysis; i.
