Short Description:
The Senior Business Subject Matter Expert (SME) brings proven experience from related businesses or organizations as well as system integration and technology experience (more than 10 yrs experience).

Complete Description:
Provide technical support for installation and configuration of SAP component software; with primary responsibility for NetWeaver Portals, Web Dispatchers, and CRM.

Supports installation of third party, add-on software; with primary responsibility for CRM and SRM components.

Installs system updates (patches, notes, etc.) to the SAP component systems, and third party add-on products; as requested by business functional teams, and approved by project management; or as required to correct problems.

Establishes and maintains connections between SAP component systems. Identifies and corrects problems with system connectivity.

Transports system configuration, customization, and program changes from the development environment, to the quality assurance, training, and production environments.

Configures and monitors various background (batch) jobs, including SAP housekeeping jobs, to ensure the correct operation of the systems.

Monitors operation, activity, and performance of SAP component systems, Oracle database, third party add-on products, and underlying operating systems (Windows and AIX). This is accomplished by monitoring system logs, operating system statistics, work processes, spools, background jobs, etc.

Change software configuration of SAP component systems to provide optimal performance.

Consults and coordinates with IT integrator (contractor) on all aspects of SAP systems operation.

Monitors operation, activity, and performance of SAP component systems, third party add-on products, and underlying operating systems (AIX and Windows).

Identifies and corrects problems with web application systems.

Tunes web application systems to provide optimal performance.
Works directly with SAP technical support to resolve functional and technical issues.

Advises CoPA agencies on infrastructure requirements; including network capacities, PC hardware requirements, and front-end software installation used with the SAP systems.

Manages SAProuter for SAP remote support.

Provide technical support for application related problems with VMware vSphere and all related VMware products

Ability to work with technical network team members to design network topology

Strong troubleshooting skills when diagnosing network related issues

Working knowledge of Cisco Global Site Selector and Content

Services Switching for web load-balancing both internally and externally.

Working knowledge of IBM BladeCenter and VMware switch technology.

Ability to research SAP OSS notes and submit OSS messages as necessary for corrective action.

An understanding of the SAP change transports process.

Working Knowledge of SAP basis administration transactions and processes.

Ability to architect, size, install, and configure new SAP implementations.

Expertise in SAP Single Sign-On technology including Kerberos, LDAP, and SAP Logon Tickets.

Experience in SAP business continuity and disaster recovery techniques and methods

Ability to coordinate with DPH support and SunGard staff before, during, and after a disaster recovery test

Create disaster recovery plans for all new mission critical business applications, i.e., CRM IT Services and OB Customer Services projects and DOR Integrated Tax System.

Participate in all disaster recovery planning sessions, monthly meetings, and annual tests.
