We are currently running the SAP business suite (ERP 6.0, Enhancement Pack 8) on an Oracle database (version 12.1) with HP-UX operating system (version B.11.31). We plan to migrate the database to the latest version of SAP HANA. We expect the consultant to be needed from May thru November. It does not necessarily need to be full-time and some of the work can be done remotely. We would want the person to give knowledge transfer to our permanent County Basis team to enable them to support the new system going forward. The candidate must be a certified SAP HANA migration consultant with the special certification for what SAP calls OS/DB migration as outlined by SAP: {quote}you must secure the services of a technical consultant with special certification for OS/DB migration (through SAP training course TADM70). The consultant must perform the migration onsite. If SAP support is required, the consultant is the contact person. {quote} The target Linux operating system for The target operating system for the mostly ABAP application servers and central services instances and small Java instances is likewise SLES. There are also SAP content servers running MaxDB and Apache also on HP-UX that would be migrated to SLES. The ideal candidate will have performed at least five verifiable migrations from Oracle databases to Hana databases on a Unix/Linux platform successfully. The engagement is expected to last approximately six to seven months (May - November). We plan to have a conversation with the experienced candidates who will determine the best approach and timing based on our migration cutover weekend being Thanksgiving (November 28-December 1, 2019). Please have the candidates bring with them and be prepared to present information about how they would plan the timing of a migration of this nature. The work does not have to be 100% onsite. The actual production migration must be done onsite (SAP requirement for certifying the Hana database).
