Job Description : Data Engineer GENERAL FUNCTION: As a Fifth Third Data Engineer, you will develop fast data infrastructure leveraging data streaming, batch processing, and eventually machine learning to personalize experiences for our customers. You will work with the broader Data Engineering Guild to own and provide technical ownership over our blossoming self-service ecosystem. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Take existing Tableau reports and enhance them with additional visibility. Take data from SAS and create new Tableau reports, graphs, etc. Combine data from different Information Security functions to create new Tableau reports to provide additional insight. Develop means of recreating executive reporting views so that re-creation of reporting outside of Tableau is no longer necessary. Assist Lead Data Engineering in improving processes and data quality. Provide some instruction to new users of Tableau to help them self-serve. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITES REQUIRED: Proficient in Tableau Understands SAS and how data is imported from SAS to Tableau Bachelors degree At least 2 years of data engineering experience At least 1 year of experience working with big data technologies including: Spark, Cassandra, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Redshift, or MongoDB At least 1 year of experience in Java, Scala, Python, or SQL   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
