This position is a 6 Month Contract to Permanent opportunity located in Birmingham, AL. Primary Responsibilities Responsible for program design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation Estimates timelines and technical efforts for planning and implementation Works closely with agile team members, scrum masters, product management and enterprise architecture. Works with the program level team to coordinate efforts across multiple agile teams. Assigns and directs the work of team members May act in liaison capacity with other departments, divisions and organizations Operates with considerable latitude for independent action or decision Skills and Competencies Hands-on experience with SAS Financial Crimes Suite in a Unix-based environment. Ability to develop, troubleshoot and optimize SAS AML Financial crime suite of applications. 8 Plus years of hands-on experience with Development in SAS AML. Experience working with large amounts of data in relational databases e.g. SQL Server and Oracle. Familiarity with troubleshooting and tuning database code and queries. Development experience in Java, JavaScript, JSP, XML / JSON, C#, ASP.NET Webforms. ASP.NET, Web Services, Apache is desirable Experience working with Agile teams and participating in program and team level activities. Hands-on experience working with enterprise source control software and change management Preferred experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Bitbucket Ability to coach, teach and mentor team Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with an ability to express and explain complex technical concepts to business users and non-technical team members.
