Job Description : Mandate / Marketability (this section will be loaded to myRecruiting so make it clear for internal & external candidates) The Business Analyst under the Product and Portfolio Analytics team is responsible for aligning with US P&BB strategic initiatives that entails substantial work with MIS Reporting, business performance analytics, sales tracking, and ETLs. This person will be developing and delivering reports, data extractions, insights, and analytics pertaining to US North American Retail Payments (NARP). The incumbent will use his/her experience and knowledge of business intelligence tools/technology and understanding of the business to ensure that user requirements are satisfied and maintain various forms of reports (cubes, adhoc reports, analytics). The candidate will also be supporting the group goals of automation and self-serve. Automation of ETLs and reports are done through AutoSys and crontab. Self-serve capabilities are to be built out and enhanced using Spotfire. Key Accountabilities (this section will be loaded to myRecruiting so make it clear for internal & external candidates) Understand various MIS reporting systems and tools to support overall portfolio/acquisition metrics and reporting Assist in maintaining various databases, providing timely and accurate information to senior management, sales managers, including but not limited to, daily and weekly sales reports, monthly reports by account, product, segment and channel Identify and diagnose business drivers with insights and analytics to help the business move forward Responsible for developing new reports and analysis while considering automation and self-serve Participate in various financial projects as required Use specialized reporting, querying, and database tools –SQL, DBVisualizer, SAS, MS Office Suite Analyze large amounts of data and other peers to produce value added insights Works proactively and collaboratively with key clients and stakeholders to continuously improve the business and meet customer expectations Provide analytical support and insights to the business strategies, initiatives, reports, processes, etc. Enhance and build out the teams self-serve capabilities Respond to various ad hoc requests for business and sales information to support sales & customer retention, senior management, internal banking partners & external clients Maintain and manage strong relationship with the product teams and businesses Requirements, Knowledge, & Skills (this section will also be loaded to myRecruiting) Requirements: A University level background in an analytical discipline such as statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, operations research, or engineering.
