Responsibilities Participate in project/systems analysis and design processes that generate application functional and technical specifications Participate in SCRUM teams through iterating sprints acting as technical lead, developer, mentor, and QA analyst. Document application design specifications and implementation procedures to improve application quality, reuse of code, and speed of deployment throughout SDLC stages. Develop, maintain, and support applications and/or databases with and without direct leadership. Complete application-coding assignments that meet technical specifications and end-user requirements, and mentor junior team members to do the same. Serve as technical expert and information lead for assigned projects. Troubleshoot existing problems, identify performance concerns, and contribute to new ideas/implementations. Assist in the creation and execution of unit/functional, integration, and performance test scripts to improve application quality and ensure fulfilment of requirements. Participate in code reviews. Act in a SCRUM Master capacity marginally to help maintain Agile standards, keep teams on target, and help maintain backlogs/projects. Advance as a developer/architect adding new languages, frameworks, and methodologies in addition to fine tuning core skill set. Education / Experience Bachelors Degree: Computer Science High proficiency in developing web applications in a multi-tiered environment with focus concerning HTML 5, any javascript framework, and java backed web projects. (3-5+ years experience) Strong knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture with considerable experience working with and developing Web Services of type SOAP or REST in any framework with preference in a java platform. (3-5+ years experience, in addition to the experience listed under item 2 above) Strong relational database acumen which includes reading/building SQL queries, procedures, and tables. Ability to translate object oriented code and business requirements into design is a must. Experience should contain work with Microsoft SQL, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
