Description:* Our enterprise Banking client in Birmingham, AL is in need of an experienced Scrum Master to join their team! They are looking for a Scrum Master that will bring passion and enthusiasm for coaching teams, that will evangelize Scrum and agile best practices, is a team player, great communicator and that will facilitate creativity and empowerment for their team. Day to day you will manage the Scrum process, remove impediments, ensure the teams progress and success is visible to stakeholders, facilitate the daily scrum, sprint review and planning meeting, foster communication and cooperation and shield the team from external interfaces. Responsibilities of the Scrum Master: Lead and manage Agile/Scrum Development Teams Plan and schedule project timelines and meetings. Establish agile and engineering best practices Monitor, report and follow-up on the status and next steps of all project components Effectively identify, adjust for and communicate downstream impacts of project changes. Able to navigate project changes effectively, remove barriers and coordinate with a variety of cross-functional project team members. Plan, facilitate, and coordinate team activities and releases Effectively apply the clients IT Project methodology and enforce project standards. Prepare for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures. Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately in order to validate that the system solution meets the business need. Help decompose epics and stories. This includes eliciting, analyzing and documenting business rules, acceptance criteria and facilitating brainstorming sessions, contrasting multiple approaches, making recommendations and leading implementation and resolution. Take deep analytical dives on data / requirements / impact while being able to distill, summarize and communicate findings at an executive level Troubleshoot production and test issues, perform root cause analysis, reconciliations, recommend corrective action and lead the resolution efforts Requirements for the Scrum Master Role: Bachelors degree with emphasis in related field or equivalent experience Minimum 3+ years of technology project/program management. Experience with running Agile and/or Scrum teams with minimal supervision Experience with building and delivering technical systems and solutions (Tablet, Mobile App, and HTML5 preferred). Ability to lead, motivate and direct a cross-functional work group while being flexible in a changing environment. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and react to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in confidential matters Experience managing all phases of the project life cycle, including creating Sprints plans, facilitating various Sprint related meetings; Daily Stand Ups, Sprint Retrospective, Sprint Planning, etc. Knowledge of different project management software, and is technically competent with various software programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.
