The scope and depth of the requirements for the delivery team is expanding which requires additional resources specifically for Quality Assurance and Test. The successful candidate for Senior Development Engineer in Test will manually test and automate quality assurance/test processes, practices, methods, tools, and controls, while providing guidance to technical and functional staff as needed This team is for Azure engineering and responsible for loading data from any data source into Azure and create data for data scientists. This individual will be responsible for testing frame work around Azure. What does a typical work day entail? The successful candidate for Senior Development Engineer in Test will run functional, load and performance tests, creating and supporting tools that can be leveraged by the broader IT and business teams, and becoming a system subject matter expert for BIDS – Enterprise Data Analytics Platform. Senior Development Engineer in Test will work with guidance of quality assurance lead as well as the delivery team. Developing, implementing, and sustaining test automation processes, and practices. Develop controls in support of application and system requirements, Perform and test activities throughout the software development and sustainment lifecycles. Leads and consults on test automation strategy, requirement, design, implementation and execution. 4-6 years Key responsibilities: • Develop, maintain, and execute tests both manual and automated test scripts. • Perform QA responsibility for team and strong advocate for stakeholders. • Advance and improve automation framework design features and implement automated test suites and test cases within that framework. • Participate in EDAP SCRUM team activities such as user story refinement, daily standups, design reviews, test case reviews, sprint retrospective and sprint planning. • Update QA/Test documentation such as test cases, test plans, test run and test status. • Recommend quality improvements to automation requirements, development, and execution and assists in the development and implementation. • Participates in analysis on whether features/functions can/should be automated. • Accurately monitor and communicate test execution results. Consolidates, analyses, and debugs automated test results. • Collaborate with project teams and interaction with project managers, business and functional analysts, developers and the business community directly related to quality assurance responsibilities and roles • Create and manufacture test data needed for execution or database population. • Follow coding and design standards and provide suggestions on improvements. • Participate in the continual maintenance of code base and refactoring. • Provide status and makes recommendations to quality assurance Lead and delivery team on meeting test criteria and production rollout readiness Top 3 Skills: 1. Engineering background – code in SQL 2. Experience in assisting developers in building up test environments 3.
