Description:



6-8 yrs exp Individuals with successful project management experience limited to projects of small scope, limited risk and complexity and/or of short duration. Individuals at this level will typically be assigned to manage projects under the direction of a State supervisor or manager. Individuals with this level of experience are suitable for small Client Agency projects with clear, achievable outcomes, or in assignment as project support on larger projects. Individuals at this level can also be used to in the capacity of a Project Controller, provided that they can satisfy the basic requirements of that position. Advanced level: Individuals with a mastery of project management skills, qualifications and experience. This individual shall function effectively with very little supervision, while maintaining a high professional standard. They are assigned to extremely complex and/or high risk projects that reflect the highest priorities of state government. These individuals are comfortable working with the highest levels of state government and are able to contribute to the furtherance of the states objectives. These individuals have the necessary skills and experience to assist in statewide project portfolio management and/or IT Investment Management.


SCOPE OF WORK

Description:



The contracted Durational Project Lead is needed to act as a project manager, working collaboratively with technical staff and other team members on software application projects for DMHAS Health Information Technology (HIT) Department. This role will be used to manage planning, analysis, design, selection, installation and implementation of new technologies including Kronos and RxNT. Healthcare background is a must in this role. A large component of this role is also process improvement and use of lean methodologies. Travel statewide to agency facilities will be required.



The scope of services required for the Durational Project Manager includes:



Acts as liaison to hardware and/or software vendors, system developers, programmers and management.
Trains analysts, system developers and users on new and existing procedures.
Plans, coordinates and directs multiple projects of assigned staff.
Reviews work of assigned personnel and serves as consultant and/or troubleshooter.
Prepares necessary procedural specifications to meet design requirements.
Communicates with business owners and management.
Facilitates meetings.
Develops data quality measures for reporting.
Facilitate standardization of processes/workflows throughout DMHAS facilities.
Complete readiness evaluation and governance for software implementation.
Helpdesk oversight.



Required Skills/Experience



Healthcare system and clinical applications knowledge a must.
Considerable knowledge of project management principles and system development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
Demonstrated ability to produce requirements-related documentation for projects and system enhancements.
Knowledge of applications system development principles and techniques.
Knowledge of current local, regional and national industry trends.
Training knowledge.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively on teams with diverse membership.
Excellent problem solving skills.
Excellent analytical skills.
Considerable ability to prepare correspondence, policies, manuals, reports and documentation.
