Work is expected to be mostly full time (~40 hours/week), though weekly hours may fluctuate over the contract duration dependent on active project assignments and workload. Description: Individuals with successful project management experience limited to projects of small scope, limited risk and complexity and/or of short duration. Individuals at this level will typically be assigned to manage projects under the direction of a State supervisor or manager. Individuals with this level of experience are suitable for small Client Agency projects with clear, achievable outcomes, or in assignment as project support on larger projects. Individuals at this level can also be used to in the capacity of a Project Controller, provided that they can satisfy the basic requirements of that position. Advanced level: Individuals with a mastery of project management skills, qualifications and experience. This individual shall function effectively with very little supervision, while maintaining a high professional standard. They are assigned to extremely complex and/or high risk projects that reflect the highest priorities of state government. These individuals are comfortable working with the highest levels of state government and are able to contribute to the furtherance of the states objectives. These individuals have the necessary skills and experience to assist in statewide project portfolio management and/or IT Investment Management. REMOTE 30-40 HOURS A WEEK SCHEDULE WILL BE NEGOTIATED WHEN SELECTED The purpose of this request is to procure Project Management services for the Oregon Department of Transportations Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) program to support multiple software application development projects. The primary tasks the contractor will perform are as follows: The Contractor shall: Facilitate project team meetings, discuss progress of team member assignments, and identify roadblocks hindering completion of assignments. Monitor and track project activities to ensure projects remain in scope, on schedule, and within budget. Produce written project status reports that communicate completed project accomplishments, next steps, issues/risks, budget, and schedule. Verbally present project progress status reports to the projects steering team. Maintain project budgets using Excel (e.g., approved budget, actuals spent to date, forecast to completion) Define and maintain detailed Work Breakdown Schedules using Microsoft Project. Utilize Azure DevOps work items and dashboard functionality to manage team member task assignments. Review and provide feedback on project deliverables drafted by the project team to ensure deliverables meet quality requirements. Work with the project team to define Implementation Strategies, Plans, and deployment checklists. Develop and maintain project management documentation such as Project Charters, Baseline Plans, RACI, etc. Review invoices submitted by any other contractor resources assigned to project(s). Ensure invoices submitted are accurate and the deliverables being billed have been submitted and approved for payment. Maintain Project Risk & Issue Logs. Define mitigation options and escalate risks and issues to the projects steering team.
