Job Description:

Role – QA/ DevOps

Duration – 6 months (will extend)

Location – Austin, TX (78704)

Pay rate - $47/hr on C2C

Subvending is Allowed

We prefer local candidates but can arrange Skype/WebEx for non locals

Requirements

· 5 years experience in related field or equivalent education

· Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC)

· Understanding of the concepts of object orientated programing (OOP )

· Strong SQL debugging skills. Oracle preferred but not required.

· Good understanding of Webdriver technology. Selenium preferred.

· Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross teams and collaborate with others is necessary.

· Familiarity with agile methodologies.

· Must be able to follow directions, stay on point and be resilient enough to work with a fun and innovative team that often has frequently shifting priorities

· Familiarity with DevOps tools including Docker, Jenkins, Github



Bonus skills

· Familiarity with the Kanban framework and productivity tools (Trello etc)

· Basic knowledge of scripting languages

· Basic familiarity with SoapUI

· Ability to read code in C#. Ability to write C# is a plus.

· Ability to read and write in PL/SQL

· Strong willingness to learn and evaluate new tools and technologies



Manager notes

Support for the QA and DevOps people – debug current code, help with pipeline testing, team is working on an automation tool want this person to help run things through the tool. Jenkins,

Read and Write c#, Sql, PLSQL and Oracle back end. Any experience with object oriented programming (OOP) communication and collaboration.

Pretty much manual, working towards automation. DevOps and QA are working hand in hand now. Developing a tool to join the two. Built from the ground.

Biggest project is the Amanda V7 upgrade and the portal. The current workflow and the data that is coming through.

Working on site at Riverside.

3-5 years ideally. If they are a good team fit then it can be less.

Answering tickets though ServiceNow and through their vendor partners. All the department work funnels through this one pipeline.

Around the first week in April for start date.

6 Months, high possibility of it continuing.

Phone and then in person. Skype interview if they are not already living here.
