Job Description ETL/BI developer profile: Role synopsis The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst / Developer will work on the design, specification and/or delivery of critical IT components and technologies, as well as support integration and reporting solutions for the NAGP Power Commodity team. The technical specialist will work closely with the Project manager and user community to deliver projects and enhancements on time and to specification(s). Works to agreed standards and policies, and ensures that design and technology choices are driven from the IT&S strategy and roadmap, and agreed standards and policies are maintained. Key accountabilities Responsible for the stability and quality of ETL application code delivered by GPTA Power team. Responsible for administration, development and maintenance of SAP Business Objects and PowerBI reports Consult with potential projects regarding correct usage of ETL tools. Provide estimates to project managers specific to ETL development requirements. Provide status to consumers and project managers of ETL development services. Troubleshoot and recommend solutions to support issues as needed. Apply best standards and coding standards throughout the SDLC that allows for defect free Informatica code / products. Ensure the quality of the change process throughout the software development life cycle; help establish and drive best practices and standards, and adhere to them. Ensure change request deliverables are produced and completed within the requested boundaries of time and scope, and in compliance with change governance guidelines. Provide technical analysis and design specifications for the assigned application deliverables, and work with other team members to complete its implementation. Actively track and manage delivery progress to ensure all assignments are in line with project expectation. Work to ensure smooth delivery into the operational environment, and identify and establish the required development and operational infrastructure requirements. Work with team members to contribute and share best practices in development and delivery processes. Engage with the supported business community and other areas of IT&S as necessary to deliver application enhancements and to resolve system incidents. Essential experience and job requirements More than 10 years of experience working in all phases of the SDLC in large-scale enterprise IT environments. More than 7 years of experience working with Business Intelligence / Analytic systems. More than 7 years of experience with the Informatica PowerCenter integration platform in architecture, design, development, and support capacities. More than 10 years of experience with Oracle and SQL*Server databases with demonstrated proficiency in writing stored procedures (PL/SQL, T-SQL), data modeling, and query tuning. More than 4 years of experience working in the Energy trading space with exposure to Front, Mid, and Back Office solutions. Demonstrate the ability follow best practices in ETL and PowerBI development. Experience with troubleshooting a wide range of external and in-house written applications. (I.E.; Informatica, Business Objects, PowerBI) Demonstrates evidence of project completion, including transition to support, in an enterprise environment. Demonstrates evidence of successful operational management in an enterprise environment. Demonstrates ability to think and plan strategically.
