SDLC Architecture Web Technologies Infrastructure Architect Analysis Testing Methodo   Requirement id 19380 Job title Engineer Job location in NEWARK, DE Skills required SDLC, Architecture, Application Development, Web Technologies Infrastructure Architec Open Date 23-Jun-2014 Close Date Job type Contract Duration 7 Months Compensation DOE Status requirement --- Job interview type ---    Email Recruiter: coolsoft Job Description Engineer: SDLC, Architecture, Application Development, Web Technologies Infrastructure Architec Deep Knowledge of SDLC, architecture, application development and impacts on non-functional testing results Solid understanding of web technology and infrastructure, and being an expert in at least one core area from network to database Experience in gathering non-functional testing requirements Expertise in analyzing application under testing to identify stress, failure and contention points, and specifying monitoring needs for testing Experience in determining what needs to be tested and why, and creating plan to implement Strong ability to analyze all non-functional test results, correlate findings from various logs and results, identify problem areas, and provide remediation recommendations Capable of prescribing what needs to be monitored in production based upon analysis of non-functional testing results Capable of providing adaptive test strategy based upon intermediate findings to pinpoint issues Expert knowledge of non-functional testing methodology, automated test/load tools (e.g. HP LoadRunner) 5 or more years of proven, strong and recent experience with non-functional testing and/or performance engineering Solid understanding one or more commercial monitoring tools such as dynaTrace, CA Wily Nice to have: Application development experience in either or both .Net and Java Additional Skills: As a Performance Engineering Lead, you will be utilizing performance engineering methodologies and practices to support the delivery of non-functional testing service that meet client specifications on non-functional requirements with satisfaction. Analyze and correlate non-functional testing requirements, architecture/infrastructure, and testing results to specify what needs to be tested, what monitoring should be in place both during testing and in production, and come up test plan and strategy to identify stress, failure and contention points of the application under testing. You will be responsible for analyzing and correlating requirements and testing results, and come up with recommendations for applications across Corp Technology with different technologies. Define and improve IT Technology processes towards recognized industry standards. Bridge the gap between the current and desired quality levels by balancing short-term needs with long-term perspectives of success. Roles and Responsibilities: You will develop and maintain performance engineering standards and processes and manage process improvement activities. Create common business specific non-functional testing measurement frameworks and track improvement against these metrics. Develop overall application non-functional testing strategy. Prioritize testing needs and develop cost estimates, when applicable. with Application/Technical Architect and Business/Technical Analysts to ensure that the acceptable range for test results and performance gets communicated to the appropriate testing teams. Ensure that technology problems are properly documented, and ensure that software defects are addressed. Partner with development teams to ensure effective use of methodologies. Provide core process mapping and content expertise to deploy improvement recommendations across plan, develop, and operate IT functions. Establish and maintain working relationships across all businesses, across IT, and between technology team members.
