Job Description Analyst: HP Loadrunner, SDLC, Tivoli,

Overview:

Client has begun the incremental process of updating and replacing the legacy COMETS mainframe system. The program is about to complete the initiation phase and start the inception phase of the COMETS HD replacement system. they has implemented a strong governance model and created a robust quality plan.

Client is seeking to augment the existing quality assurance staff with senior systems analysts experienced with conversion of public sector mainframe systems to service oriented architecture solutions. The systems analyst must be a subject matter expert in Unified Process Software Development Methodology as well as intricately familiar with JAVA Platform and Relational Database technologies.
This position will lead the COMETS HD technical validation effort including mentoring of a 5-6 person technical test team

Major Responsibilities:
• Coordinate activities of a 5-6 technical validation resources
• Interpret system documentation and determine validation approach
• Creation and maintenance of realistic technical test plans
• Implementation and administration of performance test harness
• Develop and maintain performance test suites that mirror actual or projected user profiles that validate the projected concurrent user load
• Execute technical test plans, Analyze and interpret technical test results
• Maintain and archive technical test assets

Experience Required:
• 5 years HP LoadRunner experience
• Broad knowledge of technical testing approaches and techniques including
o ADA
o Vulnerability
o Performance
o Regression Test Automation
• Set up and maintenance of performance tools sets and test harness
• Programing skills needed to parameterize and modify automation scripts
• Ability to read and interpret system log files and AWR reports
• Experience with RATIONAL software development lifecycle (SDLC) tool sets
• Experience with creating validation summary reports for both technical and layperson audiences
• Experience with performance monitoring tools such as HP Openview, Tivoli, WILY, JMETER
• Experience with client side tools such as FIDLER
Experience Desired:
• Master of Computer Science Degree
• 5-10 years experience with technical validation of large scale, complex public sector systems
• Experience with performance test probes

Skills Needed:
• Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with architects, developers, business analysts and project managers.
• Demonstrated flexibility to meet timelines generally associated with performance test schedules ( including off hours)
• Organizational skills needed to maintain, archive and retrieve test assets efficiently
• Highly analytical, needs to independently analyze test results and be confident with recommendations
