The Technical Integration Lead will provide technical architectural and design expertise to the solution, lead, and project manage work streams that include but are not limited to: the solution architecture design, configuration management, data conversion, network infrastructure, and desktop requirements, for the RMVM Program. The Technical Integration Lead will perform the following associated functions: • Technical Expertise – Leverages the appropriate use of technologies to help teams successfully complete project assignments, utilizing technology products and services to meet business objectives in an effective and innovative way. Identify when it is necessary to modify the technical architecture to accomodate program needs and/or the infrastructure needs. • Improvement and Innovation – Actively sponsors the realization and integration of new technical ideas, concepts and architectures that bring value to the program. Actively sponsors the use of SOA architectural principles and reusable services where appropriate. • Vendor Management – Leads vendor implementations by engaging and leading project resources to ensure IT solutions are aligned with the business and technical requirements. • Analysis and Decision Making – Evaluates problems and opportunities in an organized, logical manner; prioritizes resulting actions to maximize performance of the project team. • Business Perspective – Demonstrates an appropriate level of knowledge about the program and agencys mission, strategy, and practices in order to develop a broad outlook on customer and organizational needs. • Influence –Effectively networks and communicates in order to accomplish objectives requiring cooperation across internal and vendor teams. • Results-Oriented Mindset – Prioritizes work demands for self and team in a way that best utilizes team member skills to achieve maximum results. • Issue Resolution – Identifies and resolves issues, ensuring consistency and breadth of communication across all work streams. • Adherence to PMO Methodologies – Ensures that all project teams adhere to and follow the MassDOT IT Project Management Office methodology and PMO Governance rules and standards. Ensures that all projects undertake measured and periodic reviews to ensure that the new system design meets the defined business requirements. Facilitates escalation, risk mitigation, and issue resolution in accordance with the Change Management Plan in order to ensure project schedules are being met. SUMMARY OF POSITION The “Technical Integration Lead” assignment will have responsibility for managing multiple projects and assignments that support the implementation of the RMVM Program. This position will have overall accountability for integrating the RMVM work streams with the solution offered by the Systems Integrator (SI) vendor. Specifically, the positions responsibilities include: consultation and influence of the architecture, design, and engineering of the overall system and subsystems of the solution, consultation with infrastructure and development teams to fit infrastructure to architecture, oversight of project management activities, technical support, collaboration with other project teams, including the SI vendor to define and design system/subsystems of the solution, provide staff allocation and direction, and budgeting related to projects within the program.
