Review and assess security defects, triage to determine false-positives and to determine severity in the context of the defect and the applications architecture. Identify remediation appropriate to the situation that will remediate the defect without affecting functionality and work with developers to scope, identify, refine, and implement remediation. Work directly with developers, architects, and business folks to scope, identify, refine, and implement remediation. Interpret technical findings and recommendations and interface with others to convey and arrive at a mutually-agreeable solution. Basically, we are looking for an application security engineer to use the toolsets we have (and identify others, if appropriate) to scan/test/analyze existing legacy code, investigate and triage the findings, and then work with developers and architects to determine how issues can be successfully remediated. This is largely focused on Java Enterprise Edition (JEE/J2EE) code. Education -> Bachelors Required, Master Preferred Min experience -> Two years on point experience/focus (looking at web application security problems) Embed an engineer into the whole SDLC from requirements through deployment and production support.
