Description:

As a System Administrator Advisor for ITCM, the role is responsible for directly supporting new and existing customers in providing technical support in the CA ITCM environment. The purpose of this position is to act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with the CA ITCM toolset and become a liaison between the Desktop Managed Services organization and the enterprise application administration team to better understand customer requirements and work with the application team to deliver ITCM solutions to fulfill customer-requested deliverables.

Responsibilities:

Installs, tests, tunes, maintains, automates, designs and documents supporting systems, utility programs, monitoring tools, etc.
Maintains and improves monitoring agent deployments, configuration thresholds, licensing tracking and administration across all ITCM platforms for all customers.
Provides preventive maintenance by planning maintenance schedules and following established change management and release management processes.
Evaluates and maintains hardware/software management and monitoring tools which will meet both the immediate and future needs of the customer.
Maintains required compliance reports and scheduled delivery.
Participates in ensuring that customer requests via ticketing systems are managed to closure.
Supports information technology, systems and policies for Tools and Automation in support of business needs. Provides Level 3 support as needed.
Communicate effectively with multiple customers and co-workers. This includes the following activities:
Consulting with the Service Desk and DMS teams on support calls
Able to communicate highly technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel
Able to participate in various customer strategy meetings to define and understand customer delivery requirements and look to develop ITCM solutions to deliver accordingly
Providing Case status updates to management and end-users
Review various customer Statement of Work (SOW) requirements to identify opportunities to better leverage and/or customize ITCM capabilities to automate deliverables where possible, and work with leadership teams to bring ideas to fruition.
Providing phone support and diagnostics to remote customers
Participating in training programs designed to educate DMS business users and/or customers about basic and specialized ITCM functionality as a means to help better manage their business
Develops, documents, and implements standard operating procedures and customer service guidelines relating to Desktop Managed Services support
Assess day-to-day activities to minimize customer down-time and ensure customer satisfaction
Analyzes problem trends and develops ideas to achieve problem resolution
Work with the TFS enterprise application team to participate in weekly Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings to review ITCM requirements and partner on developing solutions.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES (if applicable):
Act as a functional team lead to other DMS resources to leverage ITCM best practice delivery and provide ITCM business user coaching

Required Skills:

Minimum 8-10 years System Administration and Automation experience on a specified operating systems in a 24/7 production environment.
Working knowledge of Enterprise Management Tools.
Subject Matter Expert (SME) level experience in utilizing the CA ITCM toolset in various customer environments
Working knowledge of Microsoft System Center tools - particularly SCOM, SCCM, SCVMM
Strong scripting knowledge.
Intermediate knowledge of Active Directory.
Strong technical and analytical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to create technical documentation.
Ability to work independently and take ownership
