This is a 3+ month contract position Position: National Grid Location: Waltham, MA Duration: 3+ month contract position Position Description: Our client is a Large Utilities Company located in the Waltham, MA area that is looking for a QA Analyst to full a 3+ month contract opening. This role is responsible for working with program PM, BA and business SMEs to administer User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of the Sage/Navigator construction estimating software application and perform functional testing. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned) * Adhere to an established test process and methodically execute documented User Accept test scripts * Answer questions and assist Estimators that may lack software testing experience that have been assigned to the UAT effort * Clearly document test results in both test script and defect logs * Clearly document UAT defects using a Defect Capture Form and help project stakeholders * Validate and triage defects * Analyze a defects root cause when practical; determine possible solutions and if any work around options exist * Collaborate effectively with business users and software developers to manage defects and issues; escalate issues when appropriate * Critical thinking skills needed to identify, track, Bugs throughout the testing phase * Develop new or changed requirements when necessary, use established change process to facilitate stakeholder awareness and obtain approval * Review User Interfaces for Consistency and Functionality * Develop test data when needed to complete testing * Work with business to refine test scripts * Work effectively and maintain constant communication with project stakeholders Required Skills: * Ability to discriminate between data and code errors * Working knowledge of unit, integration, and acceptance test environments and processes * Willingness to accept direction and manage deadline pressure * Ability to maintain a traceability matrix * Strong attention to detail needed to methodically execute detailed test scripts * 1-3 years of experience in test development * Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with multiple teams and stakeholders * Strong planning, organization, and prioritization skills. * Occasional hours outside normal business hours and travel may be required Desired Skills (not required but candidate will have exposure to these skills in this role): * Experience testing Sage Estimating applications * Experience working in fast paced, high visibility environment Additional Requirements: Must be able to pass a background check and drug test   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
