Job Description Specialist: SMS, PowerShell Scripting, Java,

Short Description:
Primary responsibility is to ensure and facilitate productive use of a desktop products that are used within the Agency which are identified iin the Skill tab.
Complete Description:
Role Description:
Make sound recommendations on functional and technical improvements currenly lacking within desktop support area.
Analyze current team functions and prepare technical impact report of identified gaps.
Create and execute deployment plan for Windows7 desktop images.
Develop an enterprise desktop image deployment strategy.
Build automated software install scripts and mentor staff in the process.
Develop utility desktop scripts to eliminate mundane tasks of desktop support team and mentor staff in the process.
Develop policy for appropriate functional and usability standards deploying desktop group policies.
Provide basic product support and provide accurate and complete answers to detailed product questions in a timely manner.
Provide effective on-site product support as needed.
Provide input to training and / or documentation materials regarding latest technical and functional design changes.
Document all work for future reference.
Analytical and customer service skills.
Ability to work in a team environment
Complete assigned tasks.
Strong communication skills; both written and spoken.
Actively contribute as an expert or actual designer.
Confirm that technical architecture will support all changes required by product enhancements.
Effectively lead product tests and trials.
Identify appropriate business examples to illustrate key concepts / features.
Anticipate, identify, track and resolve issues and risks affecting own work and work of the Application Team. Develop contingency plans as necessary.
Apply specific expertise to ensure that products meet defined customer objectives.
Anticipate and resolve issues specific to the team.
Determine time estimates and schedule for own work and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Identify and track issues, risks and action items.

Plus the following:
Demonstrate expertise in teaching / conveying technical and / or functional courses / concepts.
Develop appropriate work programs / budgets and use to effectively schedule tasks / assignments.
Identify improvements to project standards to achieve high quality services / products.

**The client is looking for a high level resource with Windows 7 deployment experience. They are looking for a Consultant-type resource that can help to create the deployment plan/strategy based on industry best practices and standards. The selected resource will also participate in deploying Windows 7 to end users as part of PLCBs technology refresh. This candidate will be responsible for training and mentoring internal staff for future deployments….
