Description: The Sr. Linux Administrators primary role is to help design, implement, maintain, and support all Linux / UNIX related systems,servers, and related components. Responsibilities will include operating system installation, patching, upgrades, account monitoring, and other administration related functions necessary to ensure system availability,reliability, security, and performance. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Management of Linux server environment including server builds, configuration, hardening, patching, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance including backup and recovery, and business continuity / DR. Reviews, and tunes servers performance to ensure optimal availability, performance, and utilization of resources. Troubleshoot and resolve system related issues Work closely with the application development and database management teams to resolve application / database service delivery issues Use automation, orchestration and scripting tools to manage existing and future systems. Assist in the evaluation and implementation of new technologies to optimize the Linux/ UNIX operating system environment Documents all changes, upgrades,maintenance, procedures, etc. using company document infrastructure WHO YOU ARE: A Senior-Level Administrator with a proven track record of administering and supporting mission critical environments. WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO PLANET: Required Skills/Experience:. 5+ years of Linux (preferably Red Hat EnterpriseLinux) experience supporting mission critical, large enterprise environments Experience installing, configuring, and maintainingLinux servers including an understanding of applicable security principles relatedto server hardening Experiencein supporting and troubleshooting Linux / UNIX networking services andprotocols: TCP/IP, DNS, NFS, LDAP, FTP, SSH, SMTP, SSL, HTTP Proficiency with scripting or programming is a must Possess strong interpersonal, communication, organizationaland documentation skills Proven ability to work independently and as a team member Desired Skills/Experience: Preference will be given to candidates that haveexperience with two or more of following technologies: Experience with Solaris or other UNIX OperatingSystems Experience in disaster recovery planning/methodologies highly preferred. Experience with VMware Experience with automation tools /configuration management (Ansible, Puppet, etc.) Experience with Docker / Kubernetes Experience with ELK stack Knowledge of J2EE/Tomcat We are looking for a System Administrator to maintain, upgrade and manage our software, hardware and networks.
