Proficiency in security infrastructure, as well as Web facing applications hosting. Proficiency in applying host based security; Knowledge in the areas of networking, firewalls (multi-vendor), OS hardening, and web-based applications; Knowledge of SOA, Web Services, Web Applications, encryption technologies; understanding of networking, TCP/IP, network security infrastructure such as firewalls and IPS systems; Familiarity with tools such as IBM Rational Appscan, Qualysguard, McAfee Vulnerability Manager (Foundstone), Fortify; and knowledge of UNIX/Linux and Windows Platform; and familiarity with one or more of the following: Java, ASP.NET, C#, XML, SQL, network programming; Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication and customer service skills;Ability to explain technical issues in business terms. Core understanding of importance of information security. DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Vendor-specific certifications such as Cisco, Checkpoint, Nokia, McAfee MVM are highly desired Previous experience in managing carrier-class networks for Telecommunication Companies or Security Service Providers Experience performing risk assessments and/or gap analysis.
