Job Description Analyst: SOAP, REST, Selenium, Software Testing Quality Assurance

Location: 1621 W. Rio Salado Parkway, Tempe

QA ANALYST
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Analyzes testability of requirements

· Designs and prepares test strategy & approach, testing metrics and other testing artifacts

· Creates test cases based on requirements and conducts reviews with development team/business users

· Prioritizes and executes functional tests and regression tests

· Reports defects, raises issues or concerns to project team

· Monitors common business specific quality measurement frameworks and tracks improvement against predefined metrics

· Plans and deploys software testing and project management processes based on the current methodologies of the company

· Creates and monitors quality assurance related activities at both the program and project level

· Assesses risk to quality based upon results of verification and validation

· Reports software defects; raises issues/concerns regarding issue prioritization

· Coordinates activities across multiple teams, including but not limited to development and project management

QUALIFICATIONS:



· Undergraduate degree in CS/CE/CIS/MIS/Engineering/Technology related field or equivalent experience and or training.

· 5+ years of experience in Software Testing/Quality Assurance (SQA)

· Experience with web services testing (SoapUI, SOAtest) – MUST HAVE

· Experience with Selenium- MUST HAVE

· Testing tools experience (Microsoft Test Manager, Rally, HP ALM, SQL, Etc.)

· Strong software analysis skills

· Advanced understanding of Quality Management and best practices with regard to testing techniques, methodologies, processes, tools, artifacts, and measurement

· Thorough knowledge of Agile software development

· Solid understanding of relational databases

· Advanced abilities with use of reference materials and other resources to complete tasks

· Strong customer service focus

· Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities

· Ability to effectively meet deadlines and prioritize projects in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment

· Airline experience - a plus
