Specific Description Java Developer-II Positon: The DOC Data integration teams development methodology layers consist of the following: • Primary use of PL/SQL for the development APIs that have direct access to Oracle databases • Primary use of Java for the development of front-end packaging for data sharing initiatives • Primary database is Oracle (11g and 12c) We use PL/SQL to handle the complex transaction processes that generate results in a fast turnaround when accessing Oracle databases. We use Java to create the framework for web services. We primarily use REST versus SOAP for web services. Our integration development process is based on SOA (service oriented architecture) that allow us to create reusable service components for application/data sharing initiatives. Our APIs are presented in a system called Swagger.
