Your role is to position the enterprise for target state centralized search with proper access control, and enable associates to work more efficiently, effectively and collaboratively. Additional Responsibilities: Work in partnership with appropriate business unit repositories (HR, Corporate Communications, etc.) to determine a holistic content search for client Associates Influence the behavior and mindset of Associates to promote adoption of content search Plan phases of customer journey towards the final architecture state Lead the engineering team through the implementation Provide technical governance and sign off on engineering team deliverables Establish standards, policies, and procedures within the application architecture domain Communicate product mission and vision across the organization Collaborate with matrix teams to develop detailed product and business plans and roadmaps Collaborate with Engineering to develop architecture and specific development tasks Manage priorities and scope against available resources and schedule Coordinate with the marketing team to drive product awareness and adoption. Develop product support documentation in conjunction with Customer Support Collaborate with other software teams to get help with internal dependencies Deep immersion in product analytics data in order to understand strengths and weaknesses of product and make recommendations Work with 3rd parties on various types of collaboration and service integration Investigating and solving performance issues Explain complicated technical search concepts in a way that key stakeholders can easily understand Work alongside Developers and content teams to ensure proper implementation of all technical optimizations Recommend and implement best industry analytics Identify and remedy any indexing issues, crawl errors, SEO penalties, etc. Develop plans to improve site speed across desktop & mobile Make recommendations on information architecture Other duties as assigned Desired Skills: Hands on experience of modern search technologies Experience in Information retrieval theory, (i.e. Apache Lucene/Solr/Elastic Search/Endeca/Sharepoint) for at least 3 years Knowing taxonomy and tagging, api integration and repositories, crawling repositories. Best path to mine for greatest value, error mitigation, knowledge of RESTful APIs Proven experience in eCommerce environment, filters and side bars, creating a search experience Ability to rank content based on personal context Design of highly loaded, distributed, horizontally scalable, low latency applications, cloud-based deployment and operations. Deep understanding of eCommerce search: customer-facing features, merchandising, master data management, metrics, and KPIs Deep understanding and experience using search engine optimization best practices to improve overall search experience. Experience using content management systems Familiarity with the concepts of Enterprise Software and/or cloud platforms Experience with UX and Mobile best practices Developer experience is also a plus Ability to work in a test and learn environment Comfortable dealing with ambiguity Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
