This opportunity is for a 6 month open ended contract. Position Summary: Maximo Systems Admin and Controls Technical Lead 1) Understands SOX controls and can design and implement controls w/i Maximo 2) Possesses expert level of understanding of advanced Maximo security 3) Applies IBM security best practices to Maximo security design 4) Designs security w/in the Maximo application 5) Ensures segregation of duty rules are designed and implemented w/i Maximo 6) Designs and implements authorization limits in accordance to SOX controls 7) General administration of Security and Controls within the Maximo Application Perform the planning, evaluation, analysis, and recommendation of technical computing products on large, complex projects - recognized as an expert throughout the company. Provide the highest level technical product support including response to user questions, installation, system monitoring, testing, problem diagnosis, tracking, resolution, and routine maintenance. Facilitate and perform the delivery of technical services including the preparation of cost justifications, application requirements, alternative solutions, and technical recommendations. Formulate and direct the preparation of technical procedures, documentation, manuals, and reports. Maintain broad technical industry knowledge and broad understanding of AEP infrastructure. Mentor and provide functional/technical leadership and work direction to staff. Principal Accountabilities: 1. Exhibits master level proficiency in system administration plus, exhibits expert level knowledge of one or more specific technical area that enables the administrator to serve as the highest level resource in that area throughout the company. 2. Provides input into related technology strategy to management. 3. Provides expert insight into problem resolution calls working closely with software and hardware vendors. 4. Helps team to access proactively key measurement data and suggests ways to utilize information for enhanced performance. 5. Reviews procedures and documentation to ensure technology remains current 6. Manage / lead / mentor from 1 to 3 employees on an indirect basis to include providing performance input. Minimum Requirements: Education: Bachelors degree in computer science or engineering related field or Associates degree with 2 years system administration related experience or High School Diploma/GED with 4 years system administration related experience. Experience: Minimum of 10 years System Administration related experience (in addition to any experience identified above). Licenses/Certifications: Technical certification in administration technology field preferred, but not mandatory.
