Position: Senior Software Engineer -- Web




Description


This position requires an experienced engineer capable of making significant contributions throughout the software development lifecycle. As a hands-on developer for one or more the companys core software products, the Senior Software Engineer will participate in all tasks related to requirements gathering, risk analysis, unit testing, and software implementation.



The Senior Software Engineer position requires experience in commercial web application development in n-tiered environments using ASP, SQL, and IIS. Secondary responsibilities include Windows software development using Visual C#, evaluation of emerging technologies, and development recommendations for future product development.



In addition to technical proficiency, strong communication and interpersonal skills are required, as this person will work in a highly collaborative environment. The Senior Software Engineer will interact with many teams throughout the organization, mentor less experienced team members, and participate in continual investigation of process improvement strategies.



Working conditions include normal office environment with heavy computer use. Candidates must be able to sit for long periods at a time. Some extended hours or weekend work may be required along with some travel.




Required Skills/Experience



· BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

· 7+ years experience in commercial web development and Windows software development

· 2+ years experience in senior role using C#, ASP.Net, SQL for SQL Server, IIS, XML, Microsofts MVC framework

· Interest in collaborative environments and development methodology

· Strong working knowledge of object-oriented programming, development best practices, design patterns, verification test frameworks, and software business fundamentals

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
