Requirements:
This is an onsite at BOP office assignment. Remote access is not an option. All monitoring and maintenance will be conducted onsite. These are all business critical systems and require a senior level DBA with State of Idaho Licensing experience. The DBA selected must have advanced working knowledge with T-SQL, DTS Programming, SSIS, Visual Studio 2008/2010, Enterprise Manager SSBI, and SSMS. In addition, MS Access advanced experience connecting to SQL 2008/2000 using 2000/2003/2007/2010 is required. Total Estimated time to complete duties would be 8 hours per week for 52 weeks. This is a total of 416 hours for this contract.

Duties and Job Responsibilities:
These are the duties common to all three areas. Monitoring the health of the database server means making sure that the following is done:
? The server is running with optimal performance.
? The error log or event log is monitored for database errors.
? Databases have routine maintenance performed on them, and the overall system has periodic maintenance performed by the system administrator.
? Monitor production databases regularly or respond to any database issues by bringing down the database or taking the database offline.
? Database tuning and performance monitoring.
? Application tuning and performance monitoring.
? Manage all the application components that interact with the database and carry out activities such as application installation and patching, application upgrades, database cloning, building and running data cleanup routines, data load process management, etc.
