Platforms involved are Windows Server, SQL Server, IIS, and Sharepoint. Complete Description: PS 3 - 1. Operates, manages and administers Open Text applications on complex technical architectures, with Windows-based servers according to NJ TRANSIT policies and industry best practices. 2. Ensure that all solutions are managed within the environment to meet availability, security, and data integrity requirements. 3. Perform daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly system management checks and maintenance tasks. Maintains project reports. 4. Perform software patch management (o/s, Open Text, etc.), QA, and production implementation. 5. Respond to and resolve customer technical requests, including serving as an escalation point and collaborating wiht appropriate teams where required, and documenting proposed solutions. 6. Respond to and troubleshoot monitoring of applications, servers and devices sufficient to meet service level agreements, including the development of monitoring framework. Uses NJ TRANSITs Help Desk to document and track problems and solutions. 7. Provides cross-training for Open Text platform including utilities and 3rd party products. 8. Use various tools and scripting to automate daily tasks. Document all procedures used. 9. Implement and administer applications, system and network security as directed. Years of Relevant Experience: 5 plus years Preferred Education: 4 year baccalaureate degree in Computer Science 4+ years experience as a system manager in a production enterprise-wide computing environment running Win2003/2008 (moving to 2010) in a TCP/IP networked enviroment.
