Job Description Administrator: Data Base -Oracle, SQL Server, MSQL, PC Skills IBM DB2

Candidate must be our W2 Employee.

Description:

Responsible for computer network activities associated with the installation, configuration, upgrading, administration, monitoring, maintenance and security of databases in the organization. Designs, develops, modifies, tests and evaluates programs for functional areas. Analyzes existing programs, formulates requirements for new systems, performs coding and tests/debugs programs. Follows transition and system implementation plans. Recommends changes in development, maintenance and system standards. Assists users in transition and implementation of new systems/programs. Follows detailed work plans for both installation and continuing maintenance. Conducts tests and monitors new installations. Senior level position requires a seasoned professional with a full understanding of industry practices. Requires high level of experience and proficiency in field. Provide design, build, and operational support expertise for projects leveraging advanced database technologies. Participate in architecting, designing, implementing, and configuration enterprise database technology products which include but are not limited to: Working knowledge of Oracle Database (RAC, EE), Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle Exadata Database Machine, Microsoft SQL Server family of products, MySQL and AWS database services is necessary. A working knowledge of MongoDB, Maria DB, IBM DB2, would be a plus. Leads troubleshooting and analysis activities for Database technologies. Provide multiple site support of the installation, upgrading, testing, and maintenance of software and hardware. Creates detailed work plans for both installation and continuing maintenance. Conducts tests and monitors new installations. Develops automation and scripting to install, configure, and patch solutions.



Position Requirements:

• Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge pertaining to concepts and principles in functional area. General knowledge of department/business lines, Reserve Banks, and / or System operations, policies, procedures and technologies.

• Communications: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, creativity, attention to detail, and oral and written communications skills tailored for the intended audience.

• Risk Management: [The individual] is responsible for understanding and applying risk management discipline in decision making, and contributing to his or her functions risk management.

• Decision Making: Works under direction and guidance in planning details of procedures and methods to attain definite objectives. Makes decisions within established or widely accepted standards. Achieves assigned/planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, training, business principles, and practical experience.



Education/Experience:

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience with 6 to 9+ years of relevant work experience.



Preferred Requirements:

1. Strong to expert level skills in Database Server Products

2. Advanced skill levels Oracle Database (RAC, EE), Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle Exadata Database Machine.

3. High skill levels in Microsoft SQL Server product family, Cloud native and hybrid database solutions.

4. Strong experience supporting MySQL, IBM DB2, and open source database server solutions.

5. Must have a strong understanding of design principles that include building scalable and fault-tolerant solutions

6. Several years experience designing, implementing and supporting large critical enterprise environments for top financial institutions

7. Proficient PC Skills - (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, SSH and other technical software)
