Job Description Analyst: SQL DBA, SQL Server, SQL 2008, SQL Server 2005

(please note: local candidates are preferred)

Job Description: As a Database Administrator, you are responsible for the day-to-day technical and operational production support activities of our Database Servers, support, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, tuning, optimizing, archiving, managing replications, and analyzing new technologies. In addition, the candidate will assist in testing database queries and resolving database performance issues.

Skills Required:

- A minimum of 3 years Microsoft SQL Server DBA Experience, some development skills needed to optimize queries.

- Experience with SQL Server 2005/2008 administration in a clustered environment.

- Experience supporting a 24/7 environment

- Experience with SSIS for ETL loading

- Windows 2000/2003/2008 knowledge

- Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

- Highly self motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.

- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
