Ability to communicate design considerations using these tools. Practical experience in loading data, troubleshooting mappings, tuning mappings, etc. · Database: Oracle data experience, demonstrates the basic ability/understanding to design data structures, performance tune data loads and ability to read/write PL/SQL. · UNIX: Proven experience with reading and writing Shell Scripts (ksh). Ability to navigate, edit/find files, check disk space and transfer files. Knowledge of performance monitoring tools in the UNIX environment. · Communication skills: Must have the ability to communicate effectively with business and technical users in both an oral and written manner. Must also be able to demonstrate ability to troubleshoot technology and business problems. · Provide insight based on previous experience. Must work well independently and in a team environment. · Data Modeling Tools is a Plus: Rational Rose Erwin. · Experience with DataStage Required · Experience with QualityStage or other address standardization/validation toolset is a plus. · Experience with Scheduling Tools such as Autosys. · Informatica Experience a Plus but not Required. · Excellent communication and documentation skills. Resource will be expected to collaborate closely with delivery units, design and provide presentations, etc. Tasks and Responsibilities: Excellent knowledge of programming / systems analysis, as well as quality assurance, prototyping, construction, integration, and migration functions; possesses an excellent understanding of programming languages, development tools, and the current environment Create comprehend process-level and system-level documents including functional specifications, Data Analysis. Preparing Business, Data specification and design and other scoping documents. Gathering requirements, evaluating data sources, translating requirements into specifications, application design, technical writing and testing various methodologies for Business Intelligence Process and data Loading Process flows Develop and execute test and implementation plans Displays problem solving and analytical skills, using them to resolve technical problems; possesses an excellent understanding of business requirements and IT strategies. Draws on extensive knowledge base (e.g., infrastructure, technology, and applications) to analyze problems of the greatest complexity and contribute to troubleshooting efforts. Leverages excellent design understanding and/or capabilities (e.g., database, application code, reusable objects, and interfaces) to optimize development efforts in a distributed environment. Plus Skills/Experience include: Operating Systems: Unix AIX 5.3, Windows.
