It is critical that the responding parties have proven skill in rapid application development using .NET and Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). The system reads data from other existing systems partially for known information and the rest of the data is saved in the database. The software application work to be done will produce both new components to the application and updates/modifications to the existing financial data reporting system. All existing data lives in SQL Azure databases and local SQL servers. All the tasks to be developed using ASP.NET, VB.NET code and SQL Server database in Microsoft Azure environment. All work on this project will be performed at 100 Cambridge Street, Suite 300, Boston, MA 02114 in the Department of Housing and Community Responsibilities: 1. Develop and implement VB.NET applications utilizing MS SQL Server databases, web and cloud services. 2. Develop effective ad-hoc queries, stored procedures, functions and schemas in a SQL Server environment 3. Develop and implement supporting data structures for reporting infrastructure 4. Own full life cycle project from analysis to development to delivery of application solutions. 5. Prepare and conduct system test planning. 6. Design, code and debug new or existing application software 7. Provide complete documentation for new or modified information systems Qualifications: 1. Expert knowledge of SQL Server and relational database design and administration 2. Understanding of data warehousing and business intelligence concepts 3. Thorough understanding of Software Development Lifecycle Cycle 4. Ability to prepare and use data flow diagrams and data model diagrams. 5. Ability to translate business requirements and database schemas into reporting data structures 6. Experience in developing and deploying Azure Cloud websites as well as Microsoft Azure databases is a plus 7. Ability to understand complex applications and their related schemas 8. Ability to translate reporting requirements into reusable components 9. Ability to work independently, to analyze, design, test, and implement sophisticated fiscal applications with a minimum of supervision. 10. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. 11. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. 12.
