The Applications Test Engineer builds, tests, deploys and maintains phone and tablet apps across the various app stores and is considered a Subject Matter Expert in app store submissions. Due to the pace of mobile technology and the volume of apps that are being maintained, the successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while maintaining high quality standards. Essential Job Responsibilities: Using in-house tools, the Mobile Applications Test Engineer will generate, test and submit client branded mobile phone and tablet applications to the application stores using a repeatable, defined process. Primary job responsibilities include: Assist with configuration and branding of mobile applications Generate and test configurable apps for Apple and Android smart phones and tablets Participate in team rotation for application deployment and installation into online stores (Apple, Google, and Amazon) Troubleshoot and research root causes when issues are encountered Set-up and configure environments for testing and/or actual app deployments Identify and execute manual tests for the mobile applications on specific mobile devices Validate content, pagination, data input and user experience on mobile devices Support testing of the rich internet client ported onto multi-device platforms for smart phones Work with QA, BSAs and Dev on mobile application root cause analysis, research and debugging Install and run SDKs (Software Development Kits) for iPhone and Android Track and report test results for the products compliance to the functional specifications May develop scripts to test web UI and channel services layers May participate in development release projects as app deployment SME Required Qualifications Education: Degree in Computer Graphic Design, Computer Science/Computer Engineering or similar Job Related Experience: Knowledge or course work completed on: Java, C, C# or .Net programming, HTML, XML, Unix, Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2010, SDK Emulators/IDE , RUP/AGILE testing methodologies, some computer graphic design Minimum 6 - 12 months experience developing, releasing, and maintaining native C#/Java Applications preferred Minimum 4 - 6 months of experience in software quality assurance testing in a Windows 2008 server, .NET Framework environment preferred Technical Skills/Knowledge: OS Knowledge: iOS, OSX, Android OSs, Windows server, Windows 7 Knowledge or course wor   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
