Also performs a variety of systems programming and administration functions for Clients transactional and messaging technologies, as detailed below. Principal Responsibilities: Provide expert-level administration and problem resolution for all components of (Mainframe and Distributed Linux), Intercope Box, AWS cloud services such as Kinesis, SQS, SNS, Lambda and Avada IR360. Lead Installations, configurations and maintain various middleware software products, on premises and in the cloud, including IBM MQ Server (Mainframe and Distributed Linux), Intercope Box, AWS cloud services such as Kinesis, SQS, SNS, Lambda and Avada IR360 Understand and support ongoing customer engineering requests from software engineering teams Expertise in configuring and debugging channel connections to client sites Ensure stability of the above-mentioned products in support of many critical business applications Perform Software installation and upgrades for IBM MQ Server (Mainframe and Distributed Linux), Intercope Box and Avada IR360 Perform any and all administrative functions (including setup, deployment, configuration, administration and troubleshooting) related to IBM MQ, Intercope BOX, IR 360 and the above-mentioned AWS Services products Organizing, presenting, and communicating benefits, problems, issues, or ideas to Team Leads and other members of the group Create middleware related documentation and diagrams Support Life Cycle Management Ability to lead and deliver multiple concurrent agile projects/tasks on time and a focus on quality Participate in weekend DR tests Be willing to follow a rigorous ITIL-based process Knowledge and Skills Required: Knowledge of MQ APIs as utilized by high-level programming languages (C, C++, JAVA, JMS, COBOL, etc.). Knowledge of industry monitoring and performance tools (MAINVIEW, IR360, TMON, etc.) for WebSphere MQ. A thorough understanding of TCP/IP protocols Knowledge of digital certificate nomenclature (e.g. SSL encryption) and administration Programming skills in Assmbler, Rexx and Cobol Automation Skills Cloud (AWS) experience is a big plus Experience with Avada IR360 Administration Experience with shell scripting for automation Understanding of the cloud technologies/services and DevOps Agile methodologies Knowledge of Linux, zLinux, z/OS UNIX System Services and z/OS MVS environments a plus Lead MQ Administrator Initiatives (Projects/Tasks) Excellent analytical and technical skills Excellent planning and organizational skills Excellent verbal and written skills Education, Training &/or Certification: Bachelors degree in computer science or a related study and/or equivalent experience. 5+ years in an z/OS MQ Administrator Role 5+ years in an Distributed Linux MQ Administrator Role   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
