There is a business need to provide accurate, versatile reporting to multiple partners based on data warehouse data. The challenge being addressed here is finding a balance between being able to create new, automated reports quickly, while minimizing the need for ongoing administration & maintenance and maximizing the consistency of data across all reporting. We have a well-established Data Warehouse closely integrated with our business processes that uses Oracle, Informatica, MicroStrategy & SAS to provide the analysis & reporting relied on by our business partners. This SQL Server/BI environment extends our ability to meet the analytical needs of smaller segments of the business with data mart like reporting focused on their areas of responsibility. General Responsibility: This position is to develop Microsoft BI solutions & processes to support Dealer Services Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence applications, working closely with technical and business team members. • Assist in the development of a Microsoft BI reporting environment. • Assist DW & SQL/BI Architects & other developers/administrators in supporting ongoing development projects. • Prepare technical documentation & knowledge transfer supporting development activities. • Perform & support data analysis & cube development & report delivery. • Perform & support QA related system & data testing. • Provide input on data model design for analytical purposes. Other requirements: • Excellent Microsoft SQL Server SSIS, SSAS & SSRS development skills. • Excellent SharePoint development skills. • Excellent MS Office tool skills, especially Excel. • Excellent written and oral communication skills. • Bachelors degree or equivalent in business/technical discipline. • 5+ years experience in Microsoft BI development. • Proficient with DW concepts & data modeling. • Experience in Business Intelligence reporting, preferably with MicroStrategy, SAS, Microsoft SSRS, Business Objects or similar BI tools. • Prefer finance industry experience.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
