Job Description Administrator: DFA AIRS DBA, SQL Server 2008/2012/2014, SSIS, Backup And Restoring Databases With Poin

Description:


Database administrator needed to support AIRS system.
Local Candidates Preferred

Installing and Upgrading SQL Servers, including applying Service Packs
Monitoring Database Server health, and tuning
-Optimal server performance
-Monitor the error log or event log for database errors
-Routine database maintenance, and the overall system maintenance
Maintaining and managing SQL Server disk space to insure storage is properly utilized
Performing backup and recovery
-Establishing standards and schedules for database backups
-Developing recovery procedures for each database
-Making sure that the backup schedules meet the recovery requirements
Managing Database users and security
Working with developers to tune queries, how to use indexes, etc.
Log shipping, mirroring, high availability, transaction log
Transferring Data – importing and exporting data to and from the SQL Server
Creating and scheduling SQL Server jobs to perform database maintenance activity
-Rebuilding indexes


Required Skills:


* SQL Server 2008, SQL Server 2012 and SQL Server 2014
* TSQL Programming
* Mirroring, Snapshot, High Availability
* SQL Server Profiler, Index Tuning Advisor, SQL Server Configuration Manager
* Performance tuning
* SQL Server Jobs and Scheduling
* Integration services or SSIS Packages to import and export data from/to SQL
* Backup and Restoring databases with point in time recovery, TSM, LiteSpeed
* Windows Server Administration, Windows Clustering
