This engagement is to provide DTS/DWS with professional services expertise as a Senior Java Web Developer. License Scope DTS is responsible for all licensing requirements of their environments. Vendor Qualifications Full stack web developer with expertise in the development of websites and applications. Designs, configures, diagnoses, repairs, upgrades, and optimizes technical solutions in selected discipline(s) at a master technical level. The project will directly involve strong internet web programming, responsive design expertise, ADA/Section 508 design expertise, Longitudinal Data Analysis expertise, JavaScript expertise, Java Web Application expertise, and Oracle RBDMS knowledge. Project Description the Utah Interpreter Program (UIP) website for ASL interpreters is in need of a rebuild. The UIP website has multiple functions. • The first is for potential interpreters to learn about the requirements to become certified and to pay for certification. • The second function is for staff to record payment, review final testing scores and maintain a list of current certified interpreters. • The third function is for ASL raters to enter in applicant interpreters scores for each of the tests the applicant takes. The website uses GovPay to process payments, but still requires manual intervention to record the payment to the applicants record. The new Utah Interpreters Program website will be on jobs.utah.gov and hosted by Department of Technology Services (DTS). Interpreters will also be able to get to the site using uip.utah.gov and then be redirected back to the jobs.utah.gov website. Interpreters: There will be a public facing website where interpreters login to manage their certification process. Interpreters will use the site to login, register and schedule testing, pay for tests through GovPay, maintain continuing education hours, upload documents, and manage recertification processes. Raters: Raters are interpreters as well. They will also login into the public facing site to receive and complete work assignments. They will get assigned physical exams to score and rate and then be able to report those scores through the application. Administrators: Admin site will be behind the firewall.
