Description:
our client the nations second largest technical staffing and services firm, has an immediate opportunity for an Employee Relations Specialist with our client, a major oil and gas firm, in San Ramon, CA. The positions main responsibilities will be to serve as a link between station management and employees by investigating employee complaints and claims and counseling managers and supervisors. The Specialist will also help facilitate informal conflict resolution, respond to regulatory bodies, as well as provide counsel on a range of issues, such as performance issues, compliance issues, and HR policy interpretation and practice.

This position is a contract position scheduled to last until the end of the year, and sits in San Ramon, CA. This position is moving fast, so wed like for candidates to be submitted by 6/11/19, 8:00AM PST at the very latest.

Required Qualifications:

3-5 years of Human Resources experience required
Bachelors degree in relevant field
Strong experience with employee relations required
Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage ones time.
Knowledge of legal policies and procedures, labor laws and performance management process.
Coaching skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
Candidates local to Bay Area required.

Preferred:

HR experience within an enterprise company or oil/gas industry.
SharePoint utilization skills.

Education: Bachelors Degree is relevant field required

Job Responsibilities:

Serve as a link between management and employees by investigating employee complaints and claims and counseling managers and supervisors. Identifies potential risks/impacts of case to parties involved.
Advise managers on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment.
Plan and conduct new hire orientation.
Support HR with gathering necessary documents and paperwork for addressing disputes and administering disciplinary procedures.

Travel: Minimal travel around network of stations, if needed. Expenses would be covered

Interview Process: Interviews will tentative be scheduled Thursday 6/13 -- week of 6/17.
