Candidates should have expertise in the development of multi-platform, distributed applications and object-oriented programming. In addition, they should be adept at working in a team environment and mentoring less senior colleagues. Position normally requires a bachelors degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field, plus a minimum of five years of experience working with a mix of web technologies such as Visual Studio.NET, ASP.NET using C#.NET and VB.NET, HTML/DHTML, XML, SOAP, JQuery, and Javascript. A demonstration of equivalent work-related experience would substitute for a degree. Emphasis on design through the use of tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is mandatory. Demonstration of prior designs, models or wire frames is required. General Duties and Responsibilities: (This is a representative list of the general duties the position may be asked to perform and is not all-inclusive.) 1. Gather and assess business requirements and develop specifications and project plan for web-based applications. 2. Design, develop, and maintain one or more static or dynamic websites, including content and graphics, which may or may not use one or more databases. 3. Collaborate with web administrators to guide the support and delivery of website applications and feature additions. 4. Integrate complex websites with back-end systems such as databases. 5. Quickly and accurately diagnose and fix bugs. 6. Write test plans and test results and integrate into overall scope of projects. Minimum Attributes Required to Perform the Essential Functions of the Position: (Specific educational and experience requirements, necessary skills, knowledge, abilities, physical demands, travel) Bachelors degree in computer science or electrical engineering or equivalent experience. Minimum of five years development experience using a combination of the following languages or tool sets: Visual Studio.NET, ASP.NET using C#.NET and VB.NET, HTML/DHTML, XML, SOAP, JQuery, and Javascript. Additional languages such as PHP and CGI/PERL are a plus. Minimum of three years design experience using the following tools: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Flash. Minimum of three years designing and developing SharePoint 2010 or 2007 web parts, architecture, and workflows. Minimum of three years database architecture using SQL Server, including security protocols and Linked Servers. Oracle and Microsoft Access is a plus.
