The Snowflake Data Warehouse Architect will build that layer of abstraction to drive performance. Looking for people who are data modelers who also have experience with data visualization tools. Day to Day: Snowflake Data Warehouse Architect should have experience with Snowflake DW, Netezza, or Redshift on the cloud. Create logical data models. Build the data marts. Run light select queries optimize them in Snowflake environment. Experience with Redshift or Netezza instead of Snowflake is okay as long as they built data models in cloud databases. Should have advanced skills querying and optimizing queries to make them scalable and cater to needs of dashboards. Work with business analysts and PowerBI developers to make sure they have data models and data sets that they need. Should know how to optimize queries using PARTITION BY clauses with WHERE clause when joins are used. Use Materialized views to improve the performance of queries that use the same subquery results repeatedly. Know when to use Materialized Views to improve query performance and when a flat materialized view is okay. Should know that query optimization is crucial for keeping a light query load on the Snowflake Data warehouse. Tech Stack: Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse Power BI - dashboard and reporting Qualifications: BS in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
