This position will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and testing various Operational Support Services (OSS) tools. The Cloud Services Specialist will work closely with operations teams to improve supportability and maintainability of these services that support service assurance capabilities for Ciscos cloud infrastructure. The Specialist will participate in the engineering and design process with engineers and developers to develop procedures for deploying and maintaining configuration of these services. This person will document deployment procedures, test plans, and support processes. The ideal candidate has a good technical understanding of cloud products and services, and has worked supporting a Linux-based production environment utilizing monitoring tools, providing operational support, and troubleshooting and resolving issues. Experience/Skills: Engineering degree desired (BS/BA in information systems, computer science, or related discipline) and two to five years of relevant experience. Strong candidates will have experience working in cloud product support, an ITIL operations model, and/or a development organization. Technical Expertise: Linux application deployment/support Linux scripting/automation Building/deploying/configuring/testing open source applications Experience with logging tools (splunk, logstash, etc) Experience with monitoring tools and methods Experience with application deployment methodologies is highly desirable Experience with Openstack preferred Database administration experience desired Software development experience with Java, Python, or Ruby desirable Non-Technical Requirements: Ability to communicate technology strategy and architecture approach to developers, management, and Cisco partners Understanding of IT development process, including design, implementation, and operations Prior operational responsibilities are highly desirable   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
